Graveyard Shifts, Familiar Faces, and New Beginnings

Adjusting to a brand-new routine is never easy, especially when it involves flipping your entire clock upside down. Lately, I’ve been getting used to life back on the graveyard shift, and it’s safe to say it’s been a massive change in pace.

Working through the night has its unique challenges, but there’s a major silver lining: I get to see so many familiar peers from my old department. Running into old teammates brings me a ton of joy and really helps break up the nocturnal hours.

Beyond just catching up with people, this shift has given me a newfound flexibility in how I handle my time at home. Instead of letting the schedule throw me off, I’m learning how to balance different hours and make the most of my days (or rather, my afternoons!).

Leveling Up

Speaking of making the most of my time, I’ve also officially jumped back into my education. I’ve restarted classes for the Google IT Support Professional Certificate, and I’m really excited about where it’s taking me.

Balancing the graveyard shift with continuing education isn’t always a walk in the park, but I’m looking at it as an investment in the future. My goal is to learn as much as I can about this technical path, sharpen my skills, and set myself up for steady career progression from here on out.

Here’s to late nights, early mornings, and lifelong learning! How have your routines been shifting lately?
